ABOUT ME
Hey! I’m Lashen. Nice to meet you!
I’m a teenage composer, guitarist, and producer from Australia. I make instrumental music that’s rooted in emotion using ambient, cinematic, and bedroom-produced sounds. Everything I make is built from real feelings, whether that’s love, longing, or the weight of silence inspired by my life growing up.
Music started out as an escape for me. I picked up guitar at a young age, and eventually taught myself production as a way to build entire worlds from my room. I’ve always been drawn to sounds that speak when words can’t, subtle melodies, quiet piano, textures that say exactly how it feels to sit alone with your thoughts. My inspirations have mostly been Japanese artists, and I am infatuated in their beautiful harmonies and melodic choices.
My debut instrumental album, Seventeen, is the clearest example of that so far. It’s a 14 song journey through my first real crush. The butterflies, the what-ifs, the heartbreak all told without a single lyric. Just keys, guitar, emotion, and memory. Each track is a chapter in something I couldn’t explain any other way.
Beyond solo work, I’m also interested in collaborating with other artists and composers, and I’m starting to explore music for indie games and visual projects. Whether it’s a lo-fi piano sketch or something cinematic and sweeping, I want to keep pushing myself into new creative spaces.
Thanks for listening, and if you mess with my style, I’d love for you to stick around.
